And to be honest, Warcraft III Patch 1.31 has most of the problems that I just cited in Reforged already added to it. So there was that patch that was basically Reforged, but it still looked like the old 2002 Reign of Chaos in the menus and in the way the modding technologies worked. And I did not hear nearly as many people complain about that
I don’t own Reforged so don’t force in to me. It includes Reforged graphics which can be used in World Editor without owning Reforged. I do agree that the lack of a “Classic only” deployment is pretty annoying. Such deployment would be around 4GB odd and improve the reachability of Warcraft III: Reforged quite a lot. Yes it is. Make no mistake and give Reforged credit for what old Wacraft 3 offered. Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne were always great games, otherwise people wouldn't play them 17 years after release. But when you play the campaign, or multiplayer, thats not Reforged.
They are referring to a former Reforged developer who goes by Kam on Hiveworkshop. Before Kam left Bliz, his team had made hundreds of fixes to the campaign, but they never got released. They were finally implemented in the 1.33 PTR and assumingly in 1.33 live. Been playing the last month through Reforged. Had no problems until the update came out.

The only way to eliminate the lag is to reduce the resolution but for an 18 year old game that I had to intention in purchasing a remaster of, this is far from optimal. Edit: Replaced “menus” with “backgrounds”. It says I have 170-180 fps on menus (reforged) but it stills looks like its about 10-15 fps.
